FAQ

What is a public adjuster?

A public Adjuster is a licensed insurance professional who REPRESENTS YOU, the policyholder - not the insurance company. We manage your property damage claim, negotiate on your behalf, and work to maximize your insurance payout.

How is ShieldPoint different from the insurance company`s adjuster?

Insurance companies send out their own adjusters to protect their financial interests. ShieldPoont works ONLY FOR YOU, ensuring your loss is documented fully and you receive the settlement you deserve - not just what the insurance company wants to offer.

How much do you charge?

We work on a contingency basis - meaning we don`t get paid unless you do. Our fee is a small percentage of your final settlement, and there are NO UPFRONT COSTS.

What kind of claims do you handle?

We handle claims for residential homes, commercial properties, luxury estates, and everything in between - including damage from fire, smoke, water, wind, theft, mold, and more.

When should I call a public adjuster?

Call us as soon as the damage occurs - or anytime you feel the insurance company is delaying, underpaying, or denying your claim. The sooner we`re involved, the better we can protect your rights and results.

Can I hire you even if I already filed a claim?

Yes. In most cases, we can step in and reopen or renegotiate an existing claim if you feel the offer was too low or mishandled. Time may be limited depending on your state, so contact us right away.

Is hiring a public adjuster legal?

Absolutely. Public adjusters are state-licensed professionals, regulated and authorized to legally represent policyholders in claim negotiations.
